Stop the endless delete...delete...delete!

When you open your inbox, are you tired of seeing an onslaught of "stuff" from people you don't know?  Are you tired of having to delete, delete, delete... and delete some more?  Well, now there's an easy and effective way that's 100% guaranteed to keep that "junk" mail from flooding your inbox.

From the minute spamBat is installed, junk mail ends... stopped dead in it's tracks.  Here's how it works:  When a "spammer" sends you an email, it's being generated automatically.  This allows the spammer to send this "junk" to hundreds and millions of addresses - yours being one of them!  Typically, this message comes straight to your inbox.  However, this isn't going to be the case when you're running spamBat.  Here's what happens instead:

1. An email message from an unknown sender is received in your mailbox at your ISP's mail server.

2. spamBat checks if the sender is approved.

3. If the sender is approved, the message is placed in your Inbox.  If the sender is not approved spamBat generates a pending message to the sender (you aren't required to do anything).

4. The pending message notifies the sender that he/she/they are not on your current approved list.  It informs the sender that a reply is needed with a small modification to the subject line of the message.  At this point a spam message is dead for one of three reasons:
   

   • The "Reply to" address is a fake - so spamBat's "pending" message is never received by the sender.

   • The sender must be a real, live person who can read and follow instructions.  Since spammers use automatic emailing programs, there is no real live person to respond to the message.

   • Ultimately spammers would be crazy to give their real address as it would make it too easy to track them down.

That's it.  No more deleting those junk messages because the are no longer a problem!
