Want to Keep Viruses Away From Your System?
Protecting your system from
viruses can be a costly and time consuming proposition. And it's even
harder when email messages received from people you don't know are finding
their way into your Inbox - in spite of your best efforts. Well that's
a problem with a simple cure!
With spamBat, you can block 100% of the
viruses sent to you by unknown sources. And we don't mean the message
comes in and is placed in your Delete folder. We mean that the message
never has a chance to get to your PC... Period!
Here's how your current email is handled BEFORE spamBat is
installed:
-
Your incoming messages are
received at your ISP's mail server.
-
You access the server via
your Internet connection.
-
You download these messages
to your local email program (Like Outlook, Netscape Messenger, Eudora,
Outlook Express etc). At that point, a message containing a virus is
already on your local PC. If you inadvertently open the message or
the attachment that's it, your infected and the virus is on it's way
through your system.
Here's how your email is handled AFTER spamBat is
installed:
-
Your incoming messages are
received at your ISP's mail server.
-
spamBat checks the server for
you automatically.
-
Any message that is from
someone who is not in your "authorized" list is automatically left on the
server. (Since most email messages containing viruses are sent by
people you don't know, this sender's email address will not be on your
authorized list.)
-
The sender is sent a message
from spamBat requesting to verify his/her identity.
-
Because most "spammers" use
invalid email address (and it's pretty foolish if they don't) and emails
sent to them are never read the sender never confirms their identity.
-
When no verification is
received from the sender, the message is deleted from the server.
Remember THIS ENTIRE PROCESS OCCURS WITHOUT ANY INTERVENTION ON YOUR
PART!
-
You access the server via
your internet connection.
-
You download only the
messages that you want. Your PC is 100% protected from viruses sent
by unknown sources because they never make it past the server!
What better solution can there be than to literally stop a virus before
it reaches your PC? None that we know of!
